About Anthony Vidergauz, President and Chief Executive Officer

Anthony Vidergauz had never heard of California Closets when he visited Los Angeles with his wife in 1987. During his stay in Southern California, his mother-in-law was having California Closets storage solutions installed throughout her home. Vidergauz was so taken with her new California Closets that he decided to go to work for the company. He left his native country of South Africa and his job as a tax law specialist and joined California Closets as vice president of legal administration. In August 1994, Vidergauz purchased California Closets from Williams-Sonoma. And since then he has been committed to creating a world-class brand.
